Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated across the country on August 1 (Saturday), as the new moon was not sighted in Bangladesh today.
The decision was made at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office after Maghrib prayers, a press release said.
The meeting was chaired by Ministry of Religious Affairs Secretary Nurul Islam.
