Coronavirus: UNDP distributes relief goods among 2,000 families in Rangamati
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has distributed relief materials to nearly 2,000 families suffering from food crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic in three upazilas -- Kaptai, Kawkhali and Sadar --of Rangamati.
The relief packages include 15 kg of rice, one litre of edible oil, one kg of salt, five kg of potato, one kg of onion, one kg of pulses and five packets of various vegetable seeds for each family, reports our Rangamati correspondent.
Four surgical masks and two posters raising Covid-19 awareness were also distributed among these families.
Speaking on the relief distribution programme held at Waggya union parishad premises of Kaptai upazila, Prasenjit Chakma, national project director, UNDP, said the relief would be distributed to a total of 98,600 families in several phases in three hill districts.
