Closed state-owned jute mills will reopen as soon as possible: State Minister Mannujan
Urging against confusion, State Minister for Labor and Employment Begum Mannujan Sufian today said the government will bring all state-run jute mills, that have been closed down, into production as soon as possible
"State-owned jute mills have not been closed permanently; instead production of those mills has been stopped temporarily… The mills will be brought back into production as soon as possible," she said.
The state minister was speaking as chief guest at a virtual views exchange meeting on the overall situation of state-owned jute mills in Khulna, said a press release.
Jute mills will be turned into profitable enterprises by installing GTZ, PPP and bringing leasing management in the jute mills, she said, adding if mills are opened, skilled workers will get jobs on a priority basis.
