BRTA opens control room for smooth Eid journey
Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has opened a central control room to ensure smooth journey ahead of and after Eid-ul-Fitr.
Launched today, it will be led by Road Transport and Highways Division Joint Secretary Nur Mohammad Majumder, said an office order issued.
It will operate round the clock from May 30, the day Eid rush is expected to start, and continue until June 9, at the close of return journey.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival in Bangladesh, is expected to be held on the first week of June, subjected to the sighting of the moon.
