'Bomb-maker' dies in blast

A youth, who sustained injuries while allegedly making crude bombs in Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday, died at a hospital in Dhaka yesterday morning.  
The deceased was identified as Md Jewel, 30, son of Habibur Rahman Hawlader of Khashkandi village in the upazila.
He succumbed to his injuries at City Hospital in the capital at 7:15am, said ABM Masud, additional superintendent of police in Munshiganj.
Jewel along with three others--Kawsar, Siraj and Emdadullah--were making crude bombs at a place at the village on Thursday night. Suddenly, a bomb went off, leaving the four injured.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said ASP Masud. Of them, Jewel was referred to City Hospital on Friday night as his condition deteriorated.
