bKash man robbed of Tk 5.2 lakh

Muggers shot a trader while snatching Tk 5.2 lakh from a sales representative of bKash at Narsingdi Bazar in Sadar upazila yesterday.

Bullet-hit Kajal Paul, 23, is now undergoing treatment at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

Babul Sarkar, president of the bazaar managing committee, said a gang led by Russel waylaid bKash sales representative Hamidul Islam Sohag while he was going to a nearby bank to deposit Tk 5.2 lakh.

The gang took away the bag containing the money and tried to flee the scene, firing gunshots. Kajal received bullet-wounds in his leg.
