Akhaura immigration checkpost doctor sent to Dhaka for coronavirus test
A physician who was screening passengers at Brahmanbaria's Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost has been sent to Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Dhaka for coronavirus test.
She was sent to Dhaka this morning as she has been suffering from coronavirus-like symptoms for the last two days, our Brahmanbaria correspondent reports.
A medical team has been working for several days there to check health condition of the passport holders as part of the measures to prevent spread of coronavirus, said Akhaura Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Rashedur Rahman.
The physician was one of the members of the medical team who have no personal protective equipment (PPE), the officer said.
