AFD supervising Covid-19 test of those travelling abroad

With the support of Armed Forces Division (AFD), the Health Directorate has started collecting samples of Bangladeshi citizens going abroad at the temporary coronavirus isolation center at DNCC market at city's Mohakhali area.

The sample collection – which takes place across 20 booths from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily -- started yesterday, an Inter-Services Public Relations press release said.

All the testing process was done under the supervision of the civil surgeon's office in Dhaka.

Passengers must submit samples 72 hours before their departure.

Photocopies of passports and tickets must be submitted at the time of sample submission while the original passports and tickets need to be displayed.

Each passenger has to deposit Tk 3,500 as fixed by the government as examination fee.

Samples will be tested at IPH (Institute of Public Health), NIPSOM (National Institute of Preventive & Social Medicine) and National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Center.
