7 'outlaws' arrested in Jessore

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested seven alleged outlaws with a shutter gun and four bullets in Karbala area of Jessore district town early yesterday.

The arrestees are Ariful Islam Opu of Sujalpur Dharmatala, Hafijur Rahman Hafij of Bamanpara Karbala area, Taposh Biswas of Pashchim Barandipara Kadamtala, Shamim of the town, Hasibur Rahman of Monirampur upazila in Jessore; and Hafizur Rahman of Tala upazila in Satkhira district.

Md Khatibur Rahman, warrant officer of Rab-6 Jessore camp, said informed that a gang was preparing to commit robbery at a house in the town the elite force raided the area and arrested the seven with the firearm and bullets around 1:00pm.
