4 bakeries, coffee shop fined

Mobile courts in separate drives on Tuesday fined five business outlets Tk 21 thousand in Sadar and Gangachara upazila for producing adulterated food in unhygienic environment and selling those to the consumers. One of the mobile courts led by Afsana Parvin, assistant director of National Consumer Rights Protection Department under the commerce ministry, conducted drives in the city and fined Sayeed Bakery and Coffee Shop Tk 3000 each. Meanwhile, another court led by Gangachara Assistant Commissioner (land) Rashedul Haque raided different bazaars in the upazila headquarters and fined three bakeries Tk 5000 each for producing adulterated food in an unhygienic environment.
