3 siblings sued as woman hurt

A case has been filed against three siblings on charge of assaulting a woman at Boro Meghla village in Sadar upazila of Jessore district. Abul Kashem, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said victim Shefali Begum, 40, wife of Nur Islam of the village, yesterday filed the case, accusing Nur Mohammad, Nur Ali and Jakir Hossain, sons of Monir Uddin of the same village. Victim's family sources said the trio assaulted Shefali Begum on Tuesday afternoon while she was trying to prevent them from grabbing forcibly a piece of land owned by her, leaving her injured.
