Three held with arms in Rangamati

Bangladesh Army yesterday caught three people with a machine gun and a sub-machine carbine in Bilaichhari area of Rangamati Sadar upazila.

The detainees are Jyoti Chakma alias Bagan Babu alias Kinkar alias Sidong, 50, an arms trader; and Binoy Tripura alias Sanjay alias Bakhra, 43, and Ulya Pru Marma, 47, his associates, said a press release of ISPR.

They were involved in supplying arms to the armed wings of regional groups in the area, the release added.
