3 held with 1.5 lakh Yaba pills from Cox’s Bazar

Three people were detained with 1.5 lakh Yaba pills worth Tk 4.5 crore from Ukhiya upazila in Cox's Bazar, said a BGB official.

The detainees are, Md Zubayer (21), Md Sheikh Anwar (20) and Md Bappi (20).

Acting on a tip-off, a BGB team detained the three around 5:00am from Tulatoli in Ukhiya and seized the yaba pills from them, Lt Colonel Ali Haidar Azad Ahmed, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-34 told The Daily Star.

They were later handed over to Ukhiya Police Station.

A case will be filed in this matter, said Morzina Akther, officer-in-charge of the police station.
