2,000 sacks of garlic seized

Bangladesh Coastguard seized 2,000 sacks of garlic from a trawler on the Biskhali River in Pathorghata upazila of Barguna district early Monday. Lt SA Rouf, coastguard commander of Pathorghata station, said on secret information, a patrol team raided a trawler and seized the garlic while it was being smuggled to India. However, the smugglers managed to flee the scene, sensing the presence of the coastguards, said the commander.
