2 workers die inside septic tank in Dinajpur

Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas while doing maintenance work of a septic tank at Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur this morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Khaleque, 45, and Naser Ali, 25, from Biral upazila, our local correspondent reports.

The duo entered the septic tank of the house of Shamsher Ali at Ishai Chowdhurypara village for maintenance around 8:00am.

They fainted after inhaling toxic gas inside the tank, Ayub Ali, officer-in-charge of Kaharol Police Station, told The Daily Star.

Locals and firefighting teams managed to pull them out but found them dead. Their bodies were sent to M Abdur Rahim Medical College morgue for autopsy.
