2 students commit 'suicide'

Two school students allegedly committed suicide in Bagharpara and Sadar upazilas of Jessore district on Sunday night. Eighth grader Munni Khatun, 15, daughter of Ayub Ali of Bagharpara upazila, killed herself after taking poison as the father scolded her for frequent use of mobile phone, said family sources. Meanwhile, Sukur Ali, 13, son of Shahadat Mollah of Sadar upazila, and a Class VII student of Patibila Madrasa in Chowgacha upazila, hanged himself from the ceiling of his room as his father decided to send him back to madrasa. The deceased's father said after the eid vacation, Sukur refused to return to madrasa.
