13 war crime suspects arrested in Kurigram

Law enforcers today said that they have arrested 13 people from different places in Kurigram for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity committed during the war of liberation in 1971.

The arrestees were identified as Mafizal Haque, Saidur Rahman, Shahjahan Ali, Abdul Kader, Abdur Rahim, Ishak Ali, Ismail Hossain, Akbar Ali, Osman Ali, Solaiman Ali, Abdur Rahman of Dilpur upazila and Makbul Hossain of Rajarhat upazila in the district, our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports quoting police.

The law enforcers arrested the suspects on Saturday night following an arrest warrant issued by the International Crimes Tribunal, Mohibul Islam Khan, superintendent of police in Kurigram, told our correspondent.
