Social distancing, face masks crucial in coronavirus prevention: Chinese delegation
Social distancing, using face masks and face shields and ensuring proper hygiene are important points to remember in the effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
A 10-member Chinese delegation made the suggestion during a visit to the Diplomatic Security Division premises of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today. They were speaking on coronavirus prevention and control, said Rajon Kumar Saha, assistant commissioner of diplomatic security division.
The team elaborated further on measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus. They include use of face mask, face shield, frequent hand washing, eating food loaded with vitamin-C and zinc, taking deep breaths, washing and cleaning the barracks regularly, frequent use of disinfectant spray and social distancing.
The delegation team includes Yan Hualong, minister-counselor of Chinese Embassy, and deputy head of mission of Chinese embassy in Dhaka, Xianu Shuming.
The team also said possessions of infected people can be disinfected through cleaning, using disinfectants and sun drying, said Saha.
The Deputy Commissioner of the Division Ashraful Islam agreed with the delegation and thanked them for their cooperation.
He also assured that members of the force are already following hygiene measures and will continue to follow other health measures properly.
