Serum’s vaccine will be here in time, no worries: finance minister

There is no uncertainty about getting the vaccine from the Serum Institute of India and the second dose will be administered as per schedule, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said today.

"We were in a meeting moments ago. Health minister was also there. He didn't express any apprehension about the vaccine," the finance minister said.

"The government has already cleared payments of the Indian company. So there is no reason of not getting the vaccines," Kamal said.

The minister was addressing a virtual press briefing after a meeting of the cabinet committee on public purchase.
