Schools asked to hold assembly inside classrooms

The government has instructed schools and colleges across the country to hold their daily assembly inside classrooms to prevent spread of coronavirus, according to a press release issued by Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education.

The authorities have also been asked to suspended cultural, sports and other activities until further notice, Director General of the directorate Syed Mohammad Golam Faruk confirmed to The Daily Star.

According to the press release issued yesterday, the students will have to hold their assembly and also sing national anthem inside the classrooms.

Bangladesh on March 8 confirmed three cases of coronavirus infections. But two of them were diagnosed negative as tests were conducted on them for the second time on Tuesday.
