Rajshahi surgeon Dr Abdul Hannan dies of Covid-19

Dr Abdul Hannan, a prominent surgeon of Rajshahi, died of Covid-19 at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) last night.

Dr Hannan (51), an associate professor of RMCH's surgery department, breathed his last at the ICU at 11:20 pm, the hospital's ICU In-charge Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal confirmed.

After he was diagnosed with Covid-19, Dr Hannan was admitted to the ICU on Tuesday, said Dr Mostafa.

He was put on life support on Friday after his condition deteriorated, our staff correspondent reports quoting Dr Mostafa.

He left behind his parents, wife, son, daughter, and a host of relatives and friends.

After his namaz-e-janaza on Rajshahi Medical College mosque premises, Dr Hannan was buried at Hatim Khan Graveyard at 11:00 am, maintaining proper health guidelines.
