Former Sylhet mayor tests Covid-19 positive

Sylhet City's former mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran has tested positive for Covid-19.

His sample was tested yesterday at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College's laboratory and the test report came positive, Kamran's son Dr Arman Ahmed Shiplu confirmed to The Daily Star.

"He has been in isolation for the last couple of days since my mother tested positive on May 27," Dr Arman said.

Kamran is also a central committee member of the ruling Awami League.  His wife Asma Kamran is general secretary of Sylhet city unit of Mahila Awami League.
