Covid-19 vaccine: Govt instructions for 2nd dose recipients

The government will start administering the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine from April 8.
It issued a number of instructions for those who already received the first dose of the vaccine and are waiting for the second dose.
Instructions are as follows:
- Those getting SMS eight weeks after receiving the first dose can go to specific centres with the vaccination card for receiving the second dose.
- If anyone does not receive the SMS eight weeks after the first dose, s/he can still take the second dose from the specific centre.
- Those who were administered the first dose on January 27, 28 and February 7 and 8, can go to the vaccination centres on April 8 even if they do not receive SMS.
- First doses of vaccine are also being administered simultaneously. All are asked to complete online registration and get vaccinated on the particular date.
According to a press release of directorate of health services issued on Sunday, public would start getting SMS for the second dose of vaccine from Monday (April 5).
