CMP commissioner tests Covid-19 positive

Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Mahabubor Rahman has tested positive for coronavirus.

The test report came positive last night. He is now in isolation at his residence, reports our Chattogram correspondent.

"We came to know that his sample tested positive for coronavirus as per the report from Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) lab," CMP Deputy Commissioner (SB) Abdul Warish told The Daily Star.

Commissioner Mahabubor has been suffering from fever and other Covid-19 symptoms for the last few days and his sample was sent to be tested for Covid-19, he said.

His wife, however, has tested negative for Covid-19, the deputy commissioner added.
