All shops, markets asked to close by 7pm in Khulna

In an effort to prevent coronavirus transmission, the Khulna district administration today issued a directive asking concerned authorities to keep all types of shops and markets closed by 7:00pm on a regular basis.

However, hospitals and pharmacies will remain out of this purview, said the statement signed by the district's deputy commissioner Mohammad Helal Uddin. The decision will remain active until further order till April 5.

Besides, the authorities asked to keep amusement parks and tourism services shut until further notice, reads the notice.

Legal action will be taken against those who will defy the order, it stated.
