5 Covid-19 positive India returnees flee from Jashore hospital
Five coronavirus positive Bangladeshis, who arrived from India through Benapole land port recently, have fled from the coronavirus ward of Jashore General Hospital.
The five patients left the hospital without letting anyone know, said Dr Dilip Kumar Ray, supervisor of the hospital.
"We have informed the concerned district administrators and superintendents of police about the identities of the five patients, asking to put them under mandatory isolation once located," the doctor said.
Earlier, the hospital authority had said that 10 Covid-19 positive Bangladeshis who came from India on April 23-24 could not be found from the morning of April 25.
"We have come to know that the number of patients who fled was five, not 10," the doctor added.
