Young man jailed for stalking girl

A mobile court yesterday sentenced a young man to six-month imprisonment for stalking a college girl in Chhatua-Bhagabanpur village under Pirganj upazia of Rangpur yesterday.

Faruk Hossain, 24, of Santoshpur village had been stalking the girl, an honours first-year student of Rangpur Carmichael College, for a long time, said police. Villagers caught Faruk red handed in front of the victim's house and handed him over to police.
