Two-day camp on diabetes ends in Savar
A two-day diabetes camp organised by Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company, the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, and World Diabetes Foundation concluded in Khagan of Savar yesterday.
Eighty children out of 1,912 who are being treated under the Changing Diabetes in Children (CDiC) programme of Novo Nordisk participated in the programme held at Brac Centre, said a press release.
The camp featured a lot of events including a concert, a comedy show, Victory Day programmes, a talent show and a dance show.
The camp is being organised annually since 2009.
Jakob Haugaard, deputy head of mission, Embassy of Denmark, was the chief guest at the programme in which Prof AK Azad Khan, president of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh; Prof Kishwar Azad, director at CDiC; and Asaduzzaman, GM of Transcom Distribution Company Ltd, among others, participated.
