Transport strike in South Ctg on Monday

Transport leaders and workers will enforce a dawn-to-dusk strike on 19 routes of South Chittagong on Monday demanding immediate repair of the roads including the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Highway.

Dakkhin Chattagram Sarak Paribahan Malik Sramik Oikya Parishad took the decision yesterday at a meeting in Andarkillah area of the city, said Abul Kalam Azad, president of the organisation.

Due to the sorry state of the roads and highways, it had become difficult to run vehicles on the routes, he alleged.
