Substandard ghee factory sealed in Jhalakathi, owner held

The Detective Branch of police recovered 20 maunds of substandard ghee (clarified butter) produced with chemicals from a factory at Jele Para in Jhalakathi town and arrested the factory owner on Thursday night.
The factory was sealed off and Sudhir Malo was produced before a mobile court and received a 10-month imprisonment along with a fine of Tk 10,000, in default he would have to serve two more months in jail.
