Rocket shell unearthed in Ctg

Workers found an old rocket shell in Panchlaish Police Station compound in Chittagong while digging a hole for a deep tubewell yesterday afternoon.

"The around 12-inch-long shell seemed like active and was covered with rusts. It may be remnant of ammunition used in liberation war period in 1971", said Officer-in-Charge of Panchlaish Police Station Mohiuddin Mahmood.

"Explosive experts of Detective Branch of police recovered the shell, and its disposal process is going on", said the OC.
