Star Digital Report

Admission seekers can apply for entry tests for the 2020-21 academic session at Rajshahi University through online from March 7, said a press release from the university's public relations office today.

The entry tests will be only on multiple choice questions (MCQs) instead of written test. The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by RU Vice Chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan around 11:00am today.

The primary process of the applications will begin from 12:00pm on March 7 and will continue till 11:59pm on March 18, the release said.

The tests will be held under three units (A, B, C). Students who have passed the HSC and equivalent examinations in 2020 and fulfil the minimum requirements for the admission are eligible to apply.

The tests per unit will be taken into three shifts -- from 9:30am to 10:30am, 12:00pm to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Around 15,000 students can sit for the examination in each shift, the release added.

A maximum of 45,000 applicants will be selected from each unit on the basis of their HSC results.

Those selected will have to complete a final application process between March 23 and March 31, to sit for the admission tests.

The authority did not disclose any dates of holding the admission tests. Further details can be found on the university website www.ru.ac.bd, the release added.
