None arrested as cops still clueless
Police are yet to make any significant headway in the investigation into the murders of a woman and her daughter in Chittagong city on Thursday.
Acknowledging the fact, Abdur Rouf, assistant commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (Kotwali circle), yesterday said they have interrogated around 10 persons including the family members, their relatives and those who frequented the house.
No arrest was made till last evening in this connection.
Nasima Akther, 40, and her daughter Ria Akther, 9, a class IX student, were found murdered in their rented house in the city's Sadarghat on Thursday morning.
Later, Nasima's husband Shah Alam filed a murder case accusing unidentified miscreants.
