“Miscreant's” decomposed body recovered

Police recovered the decomposed body of an alleged criminal from a water body in Matikata area of Dhaka Cantonment yesterday.

Quoting locals, police said Khaled Hasan Mahmud alias Malek, 33, was a resident of Bhasantek slum and involved in several types of crimes including murder.

He went missing since Saturday morning, family members said.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
