Man shot, robbed in Gazipur

A person was shot and mugged of around Tk 86, 000 and scratch cards worth Tk 30,000 at Sreepur in Gazipur yesterday.

Moktadir Elahi, 35, sales representative of Masers' Emdad and Brothers -- a dealer of Bengalink -- in Telepara area of the City, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Emdadul Haque, owner of the business house said, three muggers who came on a motorcycle, shot Moktadir causing him to fell on the road.

The criminals fled after snatching Moktadir's bag where kept the money and the cards.
