Man gets death for killing wife in Ctg

A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in 2010.

The convict Ashraf Ali, 35, of Madarsha Rupnagar in Satkania upazila, was also fined Tk 10,000 for the crime.

According to the case statement, Ashraf who is now on run strangled his wife Chhenewara Begum to death on February 6, 2010. Later, Chhenewara's body was recovered from a nearby hillock, it added.
