JMB leader arrested from Dhaka: Anti-terrorism unit
Anti-Terrorism Unit of Police this morning said they arrested a "leader" of banned militant group Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh from the area near Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka.
Faisal Khan Kanchan alias Fahim (34), a leader of the liaison wing of the militant group, was arrested around 8:30am when he was on his way to join a meeting with other accomplices, said Aslam Khan, superintendent (media and awareness) of ATU.
The arrestee in coordination with others had been planning subversive activities and killing important people in the county, the SP added.
A case was filed with Bhatara Police Station under Anti-terrorism Act in this regard.
