Four held over RMG worker's rape

Four workers of an automobile workshop in Begunbari Siddique Master Dhal in Tejgaon Industrial Area were detained by police last night after a garment worker filed a complaint saying one of them raped her while the others stood guard and recorded it on a cellphone.

An acquaintance of the victim, Shuvo, 25, took her to his residence in the area yesterday evening where Sohel Mia, 25, raped her while Shuvo and Babul, 45, recorded it, Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, quoted the victim as saying.

Another person, Miraz, 20, was present, he said, adding that a forensic test would be conducted on the victim today.
