Forty errant businesses fined countrywide

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection yesterday realised Tk 2.19 lakh as fines from 40 errant businesses across the country.

Eight teams of the organisation inspected different markets in Dhaka, Khulna, Gazipur, Bhola, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Chapainawabganj and Cox's Bazar and fined the establishments, said a press release. In Dhaka Kabab Daba was fined Tk 15,000, Jushi First Food Tk 25,000 and Ahsan Chainese Restaurant Tk 5,000 for selling foods in an unhygienic environment.
