Fire at Gazipur shoe sole factory under control

A fire that broke out at a shoe sole factory in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur this evening was brought under control after two and a half hours.

Kabirul Alam, an official of Kaliakoir Fire Service Station, told our local correspondent that the damage caused by the blaze could not be ascertained immediately, adding that there were no casualties.

The blaze originated around 7:00pm at the factory owned by Mintu Mia at Mouchak in the upazila.

Six units of fire fighters brought the fire under control at around 9:30pm, said the official.
