Film star Riaz hospitalised

Popular film star Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique, known as Riaz, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals Dhaka last night following cardiac arrest.

Doctors installed a coronary stent in the actor's heart after finding four blocks in his heart arteries, Dr Prof Shahabuddin Talukdar told The Daily Star. "Riaz has been kept at the CCU," he said. Riaz suddenly went unconscious during the shooting of a film, Khirshnapakkha, in Uttara, said the doctor. His condition was stable till filing of this report around 12:10am.
