Family members of condemned war criminal Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed will meet him at Dhaka Central Jail today.

Five members, including his wife Tamanna-e-Jahan and youngest son Ali Ahmed Mabrur, will meet him at the jail around 11:00am for the first time after the Supreme Court released its full judgment, Shishir Manir, one of his lawyers, told The Daily Star.

He said they are now preparing the review petition against the Supreme Court verdict that upheld the death penalty of the 67-year-old Jamaat-e-Islami leader. The petition will be filed with the apex court by October 15, he added.

On October 3, Mojaheed told his lawyers that he will file the review petition with the apex court that had upheld his death penalty for killing intellectuals during the 1971 Liberation War.

The International Crimes Tribunal issued a warrant of execution for Mojaheed on October 1, a day after the apex court released the full verdict.
