Community engagement to further improve maternal health stressed
The maternal and child health situation of Bangladesh can further improve if the best practices are scaled up through community engagement, observed speakers at an experience sharing meeting in the capital yesterday.
The Maternal and Child Health Unit of the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP), and Plan International Bangladesh (PIB) organised the meeting, says a press release.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Secretary Syed Monjurul Islam; Senait Gebregziabher, PIB country director; Nur Hossain Talukdar, director general, DGFP; and Heather McBride, deputy director Planning/Lead Analyst, Canadian High Commission, among others, spoke.
