Cinema hall sealed in Ashulia for showing unapproved footage

An executive magistrate of Savar sealed off a cinema hall at Balivadro Bazar in Ashuliua, outside the capital, yesterday for showing films with unapprove sexually explicit scenes, known as "cut pieces" .

Three officials -- manager Himmat Ali, 45, helper Hira Miah, 25 and ticket master Safur Uddin, 30, -- of the cinema hall were also sentenced to different jail terms.
