Child’s body found 4 days after ‘kidnapping’
The victim has been found near his residence in Mugarchar area around 1:00pm on 2 February 2016.
Police today found the body of an 11-year-old from the roof of a building in Keraniganj four days after he was allegedly kidnapped.
The victim, Abdullah, was found near his residence in Mugarchar area around 1:00pm, said Ansari Zinnat Ali, an inspector of Keraniganj Police Station.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. A fifth grader at a local school, Abdullah is the son of Badal Hossain, an expatriate living in Kuwait, said victim's grandfather Marfat Ali.
Abdullah was missing since Friday. Anonymous callers claimed to have kidnapped the child in a text message. They demanded Tk 5.5 lakh as ransom for his release.
Police are yet to ascertain the reason of death. "We recovered the body upon information," said Inspector Ansari.
