Charge sheet submitted against four in nine-yr-old boy murder case

Kotwali police yesterday submitted a charge sheet to Sylhet Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court-1 against four accused including a constable in a case of kidnapping and murder of a nine-year-old boy committed on March 11.

According to the charge sheet, Ebadur Rahman, 35, constable of Airport Police Station, police informer Ataur Rahman Geda, and Olama League Sylhet district unit general secretary Nurul Islam Rakib, and its activist Mahid Hosain Masud abducted Abu Sayeed, a fourth grader at Hazi Shahmeer Primary School, for a ransom of  Tk 5 lakh and later killed him. Police on March 14 recovered Sayeed's body wrapped in sacks from the attic of the building at Kumarpara where both Ebadur and the deceased with his family used to reside.
