Banned couriered medicines seized

Rapid Action Battalion and the Directorate General of Drug Administration seized a consignment of banned medicines worth around Tk 4 crore from a courier service office in the capital yesterday.

The drugs, including tablets which fatten human body and painkillers, came to Sundarban Courier's Motijheel head office from Jessore, said Executive Magistrate Md Sarwoer Alam of Rab. The drugs were banned in 1982 as those cause harm to different parts of human bodies, he said.
