Ahmed Sharif wrote against superstitions with logics

Prof Ahmed Sharif wrote and spoke against prevailing social customs and superstitions with strong logics and hoped for the establishment of socialism in the country, speakers told a memorial programme yesterday.

Marking the 17th death anniversary of Sharif, a renowned scholar,  Swadesh Chinta Sangha has arranged a memorial lecture at Dhaka University. Prof KAM Saduddin and Tipu Biswas got Dr Ahmed Sharif Memorial Award this year. Prof Abul Kasem Fazlul Haq, president of the Sangha, chaired the function. Ayesha Khanam, president Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, delivered the keynote lecture.
