70,000 youths to get jobs in hi-tech park
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak yesterday said nearly 70,000 youths would get employment opportunities in the next 10 years at the Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park.
"It will be a specialised economic zone and the lifeline of the country's IT sector. A world-class business environment will be created for the local and foreign investors in the park," he said, addressing a programme organised to lay foundation to the third block of the park.
Palak said the government is committed to building the Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park; the initiative was undertaken in 1999 under Public-Private Partnership.
Palak said, "We are approaching with a duel strategy to attract investments through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and provide state-of-the-art facilities to the Bangladesh based IT/ITES industry."
