7 police officials promoted as additional inspector general

Seven high rank police officials, including former Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah, were promoted to additional inspector general of police from deputy inspector general yesterday.

Other promoted officers are: Amulya Bhushan Barua, Sadikur Rahman, Najibur Rahman, Moinur Rahman Chowdhury, Siddikur Rahman and Abul Kashem, said police sources. The decision came through a home ministry gadget, the source added.
